About The Position
This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position may be assigned to any department in the Hide/Tannery facility. The role requires maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. Work may involve trimming hides with a knife and hook, operating large pieces of equipment, or working with pork skins. Some departments have staggered start and end times, and some areas vary their daily start and end times. The facility operates up to six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
Requirements
- Must be able to routinely push, pull, lift, and carry at least 75 pounds or more if required.
- Must be able to work in extreme hot, cold (40 to 90 degrees), and wet environments.
- Must be able to use hands and arms above shoulder level and stand for 8–10 hours per day.
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
