About The Position

This entry-level, non-skilled general labor position is responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. The position is based at Chick N Quick in Rogers, Arkansas, and works the second shift. Work conditions are wet, and temperature varies by assigned area from -10 to 75 degrees. Aromatic spices are used, and some areas have extremely high noise levels; hearing protection is provided. Appropriate foot, eye, and ear protection is required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work. Shift times vary by assignment: Raw End is 2:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. or until production ends; RTE is 2:45 p.m. to 11 p.m. or until production ends; and Stack Off is 3 p.m. or 3:15 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. or until production ends. Employees must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Rehires are accepted after 365 days only if the applicant has not worked for Tyson more than two previous times. Tyson may require longer waiting periods or decline rehire based on the reason for dismissal. Requirements

Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to bend and lift various amounts of weight, including occasionally lifting over 80 pounds and regularly lifting over 40 pounds.
Must have good eye-hand coordination.
Must be able to reach, pull, and push as needed.
Must adapt to environmental conditions including external heat, cold, high humidity, and wet floors.
Must adapt to different situations.
Must tolerate extremely high noise levels and use hearing protection.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods on cement floors.
Some jobs require repetitive arm, wrist, and hand movements; reaching and lifting above shoulder level; and bending, stooping, and twisting.
Must provide a government identification number for verification of prior Tyson employment history.
