About The Position

This position is responsible for operating and maintaining refrigeration systems at the Chick N Quick facility in Rogers, Arkansas, while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The role includes monitoring ammonia refrigeration systems and performing forklift preventive maintenance and repairs, along with other assigned duties. The position requires membership on the HAZMAT Team and work both inside and outside the facility. Work may involve exposure to outdoor weather, wet floors, humid and noisy conditions, cramped spaces, and temperatures ranging from 118 degrees outside to -10 degrees inside the freezer. The role pays $24.30 per hour to start, with pay based on qualifications and experience.

Requirements

At least 1 year of refrigeration maintenance experience.
Good math, reading, and writing skills to monitor equipment and check and record data.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including an Air Purifying Respirator (APR); requires medical examination and clearance to wear an APR.
Ability to work in temperatures from 118 degrees outside to -10 degrees inside the freezer.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts while standing and working on hard surfaces such as concrete.
Applicants seeking rehire must have completed at least 365 days since their last Tyson employment and must not have worked for Tyson more than two times.

Responsibilities

Document readings for ammonia system components, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, recirculators, piping, and associated equipment.
Perform forklift preventive maintenance and repairs.
Perform daily equipment inspections and mandatory checks multiple times a day.
Regularly visually inspect assigned equipment on the roof and within the plant, and report ammonia issues to the supervisor.
Maintain and monitor facility ammonia refrigeration equipment within safety standards.
Develop thorough knowledge of the facility layout, tools, parts, and equipment.
Follow written and oral instructions.
Serve as a member of the HAZMAT Team.
Perform other duties as assigned.
