About The Position

This position is responsible for setting up and operating machinery used for cooking while maintaining a safe work environment and following Tyson policies and procedures. The Cooker Operator controls the cooking process from hydrolyzing the product through production of the finished product. The position is at Chick N Quick in Rogers, Arkansas, on second shift. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with some Saturday work, from 2:30 PM until production ends. Starting pay is $18.70 per hour, plus a $2 per hour shift differential.

Requirements

Six months of continuous work history within the past two years.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Provide a government identification number for the purpose of checking previous employment.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate machinery that processes meat into meal.
Control the cooking process from hydrolyzing the product to producing the finished product.
Transfer hydrolyzed meal to storage.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow Tyson policies and procedures.
Keep the work area clean and uncluttered; use appropriate PPE and the correct tool for each job.
Report injuries and job hazards, document hazards, inspect tools and materials for defects and safety issues, and follow safety rules and guidelines.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or as the situation dictates.
