About The Position

This position is responsible for various general production labor tasks within the Berry Street Facility on the 1st shift. The role requires adherence to safety rules, the ability to perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting 40+ pounds, and working in environments that can be damp, cold, or hot. Employees must be able to reach above shoulder level, stand for 8-10 hours a day, and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including ear protection, hair nets, and beard guards. The positions are fast-paced and require prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing, and reaching. Employees will work in cold, hot, wet, and slippery environments and may rotate through different positions within the department. Applicants may be considered for any general labor opening on any shift, including day and evening shifts, and must be available for overtime and weekends as needed. Some positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors. Tyson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level.
Must be able to perform the duties of the position.
Be willing to stand 8-10 hours a day.
Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard.
Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed.
Must have good hand/eye coordination.
Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed.
Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
