About The Position

This position is responsible for understanding and agreeing to follow safety rules. Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40+ pounds for some positions. Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level. Must be able to perform the duties of the position. Be willing to stand 8-10 hours a day. Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard. Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed. Must have good hand/eye coordination. Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed. These positions are very fast paced. Long periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing and reaching are required. These positions work in a cold, hot, wet and slippery environment. Positions rotate throughout the department. Applicants will be considered for any general labor type opening on any shift, such as day, evening. Applicants must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed. These positions may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors. Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
