General Labor 2ND Shift (August 2026) - Berry St Plant
About The Position
This position is responsible for performing general production labor duties in a fast-paced environment. The role requires the ability to understand and follow safety rules, work in various environmental conditions (damp, cold, hot), and perform physically demanding tasks. Responsibilities include pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting items weighing 40+ pounds, standing for 8-10 hours a day, and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as ear protection, hair nets, and beard guards. The job may involve rotating through different tasks within the department, including potentially cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors. Applicants must be available for overtime and weekend work as needed.
Requirements
- Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules
- Must be willing to push, pull, carry, and/or lift 40+ pounds for some positions
- Must be willing to work in damp, cold or hot environments, reach above shoulder level
- Must be able to perform the duties of the position
- Be willing to stand 8- 10 hours a day
- Must wear PPE, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net and beard guard
- Must be able to maneuver around freely as needed
- Must have good hand/eye coordination
- Must be willing to climb up and down steps/stairs to get to and from the work areas when needed
- Long periods of standing, walking, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing and reaching are required
- Applicants must be available to work overtime, and weekends as needed
