About The Position

This position involves working in a low-lighting environment within the live hang area. The primary responsibility is to reach for a moving conveyor belt, grasp live birds weighing between two and over eight pounds, and lift them to a suspended moving shackle line conveyor. This requires placing both legs of the bird into the shackle. The line speed is approximately 105 birds per minute, necessitating the hanging of about 27 birds per minute. Applicants must be willing and able to perform these physical requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation. Some roles may involve cutting meat away from the bone using knives or scissors. Requirements

Good manipulation required to reach, grasp, lift and hang birds into moving shackles.
Visual monitor shackles to be able to hang approx. every 4th shackle.
Standing majority of shift.
Use required PPE.
Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must complete the task after submitting an application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
Maximum of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
