About The Position

The Madison Ham Plant is hiring for general production positions involving low- to intermediate-skill labor. Work may include placing hams on machinery for slicing, operating bandsaws, and bagging hams. Employees may be assigned to any department in the pork processing facility. The listed work shift is A Shift.

The work environment is cold and damp, with temperatures ranging from 35 to 45 degrees. The role requires continuous standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching, and may involve climbing stairs or ladders. Lifting requirements range from 0 to 65 pounds. Employees must be willing and able to work six days per week, Monday through Saturday, with occasional Sundays possible during the busy season.

Applicants must be able to perform the job’s physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodation. Job offers are contingent on proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and passing a urinalysis screening as part of a post-offer health assessment. Some roles may also require a background check. Previous Tyson employees must meet a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days; there is a three-time hire limit. This location is accepting rehires.
