About The Position
Performs a variety of semi-skilled and technical work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment facilities and associated systems. Work is performed under general supervision with limited latitude. The position exercises some judgment in accordance with well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. The posting lists Class A, Class B, and Class C classifications, with salary ranges varying by license class.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, supplemented by two or more years of utility plant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training, and/or experience.
- A valid Florida Class C, B, or A Water Treatment Plant Operator license is required for the applicable classification.
- A valid Florida driver's license and satisfactory driving record throughout employment.
- National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification at the level determined by job classification requirements, or obtain it within one year of employment.
