About The Position
Einstein Bros. Bagels is seeking a hands-on General Manager to oversee all aspects of a bakery, operating with an ownership mindset. Stores use a one-shift model and close at 2 p.m., supporting work-life balance. General Managers may start as early as 4 a.m. to oversee the first bake and opening, then help ensure the store is audit-ready, orders are fulfilled, and customers receive an exceptional experience. During breakfast and lunch rushes, they work where needed, manage breaks, and support strong customer survey results. After closing, the role includes closing and preparing the store for the next day, completing administrative work such as scheduling, ordering, or inventory, and taking the daily deposit to the bank. The company provides five weeks of training.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience in a restaurant setting.
- Hands-on operating ability and the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strategies for achieving food cost goals and labor targets.
- At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

- Work in all positions as needed during breakfast and lunch rushes and manage team breaks.
- Close and prepare the store for the next day.
- Complete scheduling, ordering, and inventory tasks.
- Take the daily deposit to the bank.
- Motivate and inspire the team.
- Recruit quality team members and develop internal talent.
- Use strategies to achieve food cost goals and labor targets.
