About The Position

The General Manager leads operations at Marriott Tacoma Downtown, a full-service hotel connected to the Greater Tacoma Convention Center. The role oversees hotel operations across rooms, food and beverage, sales, catering, and events, while maintaining Marriott brand standards and delivering exceptional guest service. The General Manager is expected to drive financial performance, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement, and to foster teamwork, accountability, employee development, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least five years of progressive hotel leadership experience.
• Experience as a General Manager, Director of Operations, or Hotel Manager in a comparable full-service property.
• Proven experience leading rooms, food and beverage, and meeting and event operations.
• Demonstrated success driving financial performance, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement.
• Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
• A guest-centered leadership mindset and commitment to exceptional service.

Nice To Haves

• Prior General Manager experience in a full-service hotel.
• Marriott brand experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
