About The Position

The General Manager performs in-store food preparation, order processing, inventory, cleaning, and delivery duties. Responsibilities include operating equipment; stocking ingredients and supplies; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and in-person orders; taking inventory and completing related paperwork; and cleaning the equipment and facility. On-the-job orientation and training are provided.

The role also includes delivering products by car to customers and distributing flyers, door hangers, or other marketing materials. Delivery work takes place within a designated delivery area and may involve multiple deliveries per shift, walking and climbing at delivery sites, and carrying food and beverages.

Work involves standing for most tasks, frequent walking over short distances, repeated reaching and hand use, and occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, bending, and crouching. The position requires working around varying temperatures, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, food odors, dust, and sometimes adverse weather. Delivery work also involves driving and navigating customer locations, which may include multistory buildings and stairs.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
• Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders by phone and in person.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly, and make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
• Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately.
• Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work independently and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
• Navigational skills to read a map and locate addresses within the designated delivery area.
• Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings and private homes, while carrying products.
• Ability to carry deliveries while walking and climbing, potentially including five or more flights of stairs.
• Ability to lift delivery cases weighing up to 60 pounds and stack them on shelves as high as 72 inches.
• Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including prolonged standing, frequent reaching and hand use, and occasional climbing, bending, crouching, carrying, and pushing.

Responsibilities
