About The Position
The Café General Manager serves as a brand ambassador and develops the crew to provide customers with outstanding hospitality while reflecting Tropical Smoothie Café’s culture and values. The role oversees café sales, costs, profitability, customer experience, sanitation, marketing execution, and daily operations. It also includes preparing and serving food and smoothies and maintaining the café’s work and customer areas. The position requires full-time availability, with the ability to work up to 50 hours per week and an open schedule. The employer offers an annual salary of $45,000–$65,000, quarterly bonuses based on metrics, profitability, and operational expenses, and benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance after 60 days, paid training, paid time off, flexible hours, employee discounts, and growth opportunities.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Experience hiring, training, and developing team members.
- Reliable transportation.
- Excellent menu and product knowledge.
- Experience growing sales and providing excellent customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front and back of house.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proven track record managing cost of goods and labor.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to improve self and skill sets.
- Ability to meet schedule requirements and be a reliable performer.
- Ability to work full-time, up to a 50-hour work week, with open availability.
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds; stand and walk continuously throughout each shift.

- Two or more years of QSR experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor sales growth and cost control against budget expectations and historical performance to meet profit goals.
- Maintain and exceed customer expectations to build brand loyalty.
- Maintain sanitation and appearance standards and present a consistent, professional image of the café and crew.
- Stay informed about marketing and promotional materials and execute marketing and sales programs according to guidelines.
- Build café sales by developing business-community relationships and initiating local store marketing campaigns.
- Interact with crew members and customers using “Tropitude.”
- Prepare ingredients for food and smoothies.
- Assemble and serve fresh food and smoothies to Tropical Smoothie Café standards.
- Clean and organize the kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and other café areas.
- Perform additional tasks necessary to run the café.
- Participate in Tropical Smoothie Café training programs.
