About The Position

The Café Assistant Manager serves as a brand ambassador and helps develop the crew to deliver excellent hospitality while reflecting Tropical Smoothie Café’s culture and values. The role supports café performance, customer satisfaction, team development, and day-to-day operations in a lively, customer-focused environment. Duties also include preparing and serving food and smoothies to café standards and maintaining clean, organized work areas.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Experience hiring, training, and developing team members.
• Reliable transportation.
• Excellent menu and product knowledge.
• Desire to improve personal skills and capabilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence in both front and back of house.
• Ability to lead a crew of 2 to 7 people per shift.
• Ability to meet schedule requirements and perform reliably.
• Ability to work up to a 45-hour work week.
• Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 30 pounds; stand and walk continuously throughout each shift.

Nice To Haves

• 1 or more years of quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor café sales growth and cost control against budget expectations and historical performance to help meet profit goals.
• Maintain and exceed customer expectations to build brand loyalty.
• Maintain sanitation and appearance standards to present a consistent, professional image of the café and crew.
• Stay updated on marketing and promotional materials and execute marketing and sales programs according to guidelines.
• Build café sales by cultivating relationships in the business community and initiating local store marketing campaigns.
• Interact with crew members and customers using “Tropitude.”
• Prepare ingredients for food and smoothies.
• Assemble and serve fresh food and smoothies according to Tropical Smoothie Café standards.
• Clean and organize the kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and other café areas.
• Perform additional tasks necessary to run the café.
• Hire, train, and develop team members.
• Lead a crew of 2 to 7 people per shift.
• Participate in Tropical Smoothie Café training programs.
