About The Position

The General Manager (GM) is the primary operational owner for an assigned portfolio of 1–5 urgent care clinics, with accountability for day-to-day execution, staff performance, patient flow, service quality, financial results, and clinic readiness. This is a field-based, hands-on role requiring regular physical presence in clinics to observe operations, coach staff, address real-time issues, and ensure consistent execution of NextCare standards. The GM partners with Regional Operations leadership, Supervising Physicians, Regional Trainers, and Clinical Leadership to coordinate workflows, staffing, and operational execution. Providers do not report to the GM clinically; the GM partners with providers on non-clinical performance, workflow, and patient experience, while clinical performance concerns are reviewed with the appropriate Clinical Leader. The role leads clinic operations and teams, coordinates staffing and coverage, supports hiring and performance management, owns patient experience, partners on clinical and operational workflows, ensures regulatory compliance, manages operational financial performance, and supports local marketing and community engagement. The GM may be required to work evenings and weekends and be on call as needed.
