About The Position
The General Manager operates store equipment; stocks ingredients and supplies; prepares products; receives and processes telephone orders; takes inventory and completes related paperwork; and cleans equipment and the facility. The role also includes delivering products by car to customers, delivering flyers, door hangers, and other marketing materials, and performing related store and delivery duties. Orientation and on-the-job training are provided. The position involves customer and coworker communication, order entry, basic calculations and handling money, directing activities, completing repetitive tasks, working independently and with others, and making judgments and decisions. Work includes standing for most tasks, short-distance walking, office paperwork, loading and stocking deliveries, food preparation, cleaning, and driving deliveries within a designated area. The work environment includes temperature extremes, hot equipment, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, food odors, dust, cramped spaces, and sometimes adverse weather. Delivery work may involve stairs, multistory buildings, and other varied delivery locations.
Requirements
- Valid driver license and a safe driving record that meets company standards.
- Access to an insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
- Ability to read maps and locate addresses in the designated delivery area.
- Ability to navigate adverse terrain, including multistory buildings, private homes, and other delivery sites, while carrying products.
- Ability to understand and give correct written instructions and communicate verbally with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly, make correct monetary change, and use a calculator if needed.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
- Motor coordination to make precise, rapid movements with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet quality-control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
- Ability to perform the physical tasks described, including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling, climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use.
- Ability to carry delivery products while walking and climbing; delivery may require navigating five or more flights of stairs.
- Ability to distinguish hot and cold surfaces and perform tasks requiring near-, mid-range, far-, and night vision.
Responsibilities

- Unload deliveries using a hand truck and move and stack ingredients and supplies.
