The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including cost, inventory, and cash controls and customer relations. The manager sets an example for the crew, follows company policies and procedures, and expects the crew to do the same. The role includes staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, maintaining store standards and cleanliness, marketing, customer service, attendance, and profitability. The position also describes general store-team duties and capabilities, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, processing telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. On-the-job training is provided. The job requires communication, basic math, computer or touchscreen order entry, and the ability to work with others or independently, handle stress, and make decisions. The work may involve variable weather, temperatures ranging from a walk-in cooler to hot work areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, cramped spaces, hot equipment and surfaces, sharp edges, and moving mechanical parts. Physical activities include standing, walking, sitting for paperwork, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use. The posting also includes delivery-specific duties: delivering products by car, distributing flyers and door hangers, navigating delivery locations and stairs, and carrying orders. Delivery duties require a valid driver's license with a safe driving record and access to an insured vehicle.
