The General Manager oversees all activity during a shift, including staffing, paperwork, cost and inventory controls, cash handling, food management, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager sets an example for the team and is expected to follow all company policies and procedures and ensure the crew does the same. The role may be offered without prior pizza experience, though experience is preferred. Candidates must complete evaluations through the Manager in Training level before becoming a store manager. On-the-job orientation and training are provided. General Managers may perform any store-team duties as needed, including operating equipment, stocking ingredients, preparing products, handling telephone orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and the facility. The work involves standing and walking for much of the shift, repetitive hand use, lifting and carrying supplies, and occasional climbing, bending, crouching, and reaching. Team members may encounter hot equipment, cold storage areas, food odors, cornmeal dust, moving parts, and varying weather conditions during outside tasks. The position starts at minimum wage, with raises after training evaluations completed by the team member and manager. The posting lists a Southern Oregon wage range of $15.55–$19.61. Monthly bonuses may be offered when criteria and responsibilities are met, but are not guaranteed. Newly hired General Managers qualify for medical, dental, and vision insurance upon hire; the benefits are available to use after 60 days of employment. Oregon state sick-pay requirements are followed.
