The General Manager is responsible for everything that happens during a shift, including staffing, cost controls, inventory, cash, food management, customer relations, store cleanliness, marketing, and profitability. The manager sets an example for the team, follows all company policies and procedures, and expects the same from the crew. The role may be offered without prior pizza experience, though such experience is preferred. Candidates must complete evaluations through Manager in Training before becoming a store manager. Orientation and training are provided on the job. General Managers may qualify for medical, dental, and vision insurance upon hire, with benefits available for use after 60 days of employment. The company follows Oregon state requirements for sick pay. The position starts at minimum wage, with raises based on training evaluations, within a stated range of $16.80–$20.36. Monthly bonuses may be offered if criteria and responsibilities are met, but are not guaranteed. The position involves operating store equipment, preparing products, receiving and processing orders, taking inventory, completing paperwork, and cleaning equipment and facilities. Work may expose team members to changing temperatures, food odors, cornmeal dust, hot surfaces, sharp edges, moving mechanical parts, and adverse weather. Physical activities include standing, walking, lifting and carrying supplies, pushing or pulling trays, occasional climbing, bending, crouching, reaching, and frequent hand use. Some delivery-related navigation and movement between the store, vehicle, and customer locations may also be involved.
