About The Position
Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice in its Garden City, Long Island office. The practice represents insured and self-insured businesses and individuals in property and personal injury claims, including catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation cases. Its attorneys have broad trial experience and have received recognition for their defense verdicts. The ideal candidate has strong research and writing skills and experience in insurance defense litigation. The firm is also interested in talented developing attorneys with substantive litigation experience in other areas. This is an opportunity to join a growing, collaborative firm.
Requirements
- Strong research and writing skills.
- At least one year of experience in insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, as well as handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Admission to the New York Bar is required.
Nice To Haves
- Insurance defense experience is preferred; substantive litigation experience in another area is also considered.
