About The Position

A full-service national law firm is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice in Newark, New Jersey. The practice defends businesses and individuals, whether insured or self-insured, in property and personal injury claims, with a focus on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation. This is a regular full-time hybrid position.

Requirements

• 1–7 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Strong research and writing skills.
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.

Nice To Haves

• New York Bar admission.
• New York Labor case experience.
• Insurance defense experience is preferred; talented litigators from any arena are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
• Defend businesses and individuals, insured or self-insured, in property and personal injury claims.
