About The Position

The Portland, Oregon office of Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice. The practice represents businesses and individuals, including insured and self-insured parties, in property and personal injury claims. It handles a wide range of matters and focuses on litigation and trials involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation. Its attorneys have extensive trial experience and have received notable recognition for defense verdicts. The firm is also open to developing attorneys with strong litigation skills from other practice areas who are interested in joining a growing, collaborative firm.

Requirements

Admission to the Oregon Bar is required.
Strong research and writing skills.
Two to seven years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, as well as handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.

Nice To Haves

Insurance defense experience is preferred.
Substantive litigation experience and excellent litigation skills in another practice area are also considered.
