General Liability Associate Attorney
About The Position
Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its General Liability Practice in the Newark, New Jersey office. The practice represents defendants in significant-exposure general liability matters, including property and personal injury claims involving businesses and individuals who may be insured or self-insured. The group handles a wide variety of matters and focuses particularly on litigation and trials involving catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide, including partners and senior associates with broad trial experience. The firm is open to developing talented attorneys with strong skills from any litigation arena, as well as candidates with insurance defense experience. This is an opportunity to join a growing, collaborative firm.
Requirements
- Strong research and writing skills.
- One to seven years of experience in all phases of insurance defense litigation, including case management, motion practice, and discovery, and handling hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials.
- Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.
- Substantive litigation experience.
Nice To Haves
- Insurance defense experience.
- Admission to the New York Bar.
- Experience handling New York Labor cases.
