About The Position

Siemens is seeking a General Laborer to join its Fabrication team in the Electrical Products Business Unit at the Roebuck, South Carolina site. The position supports manufacturing low-voltage power distribution and control products. Work may include moving material, taping, peeling, loading and unloading, using mechanical and measurement tools, and working in assembly areas. The role is on first shift, from 6:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., at a listed rate of $20.50 per hour. The General Laborer performs repetitive assembly, works to production requirements, and reports quality, safety, delivery, or material concerns. The position is listed as full-time and permanent.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to walk one-quarter mile within seven minutes.
Must be able to lift weights up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to sustain kneeling and standing for up to 30 minutes.
Must be able to perform push and pull tasks with at least 87 pounds of force.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in manufacturing.
Experience using basic hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools.

Responsibilities

Perform repetitive assembly operations, including placing parts in specified relationships to one another.
Bolt, screw, or fasten parts together using hand or powered tools.
Test and adjust assemblies as needed.
Detect, report, and document unusual conditions, defective material, and problems related to quality, safety, or delivery.
Work as part of a team, multitask, cross-train, and meet production requirements as needed.
Perform other work as directed by the Supervisor.
Move material; tape, peel, load, and unload; and work in assembly areas as needed.
