About The Position

Greif is seeking a General Labor Production Support colleague to perform routine production and plant-support tasks. The role includes cleaning and lubricating equipment, keeping manufacturing areas free of debris and dirt, and preparing or putting away tools. The colleague follows directions to operate machinery, supply materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines. Other duties include routine property care, non-technical plant tasks, quality checks on finished products, reporting issues to a supervisor or higher-level colleague, and following safety regulations.

The position works first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime if required. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and stooping, bending, and moving around the plant for up to 12 hours per day. Pay is $19.60 per hour, and the position may be eligible for a short-term incentive. Requirements

• Typically possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read a tape measurer.
• Basic verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to listen to, understand, and follow directions.
• Ability to work in a variety of roles.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stooping, bending, and moving about the plant for up to 12 hours per day.
• Availability to work first shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with overtime if required.

Responsibilities

• Routinely clean and lubricate equipment and keep the manufacturing area free from debris and dirt.
• Ready or put away tools as assigned.
• Follow directions to operate machinery, hold or supply routine materials and tools, and load or unload items on machinery and assembly lines.
• Perform routine property care activities.
• Perform non-technical routine tasks at the plant.
• Conduct routine quality checks on finished products.
• Report issues to a supervisor or higher-level colleague.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
