About The Position

The General Laborer assists production areas with a variety of tasks, including sorting, counting, 5S activities, replenishing supplies, organizing stock, hanging blades, and other assignments. The employee may serve as a backup for other positions at management’s direction and perform other duties as assigned. Work is performed according to work instructions and area metrics. The role includes maintaining a clean work area, notifying appropriate personnel about material shortages, training others in all areas, and following safety requirements and 5S practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist production areas with sorting, counting, 5S activities, replenishing supplies, organizing stock, hanging blades, and other assignments.
• Serve as a backup to other positions at management’s direction and perform other duties as assigned.
• Perform work according to work instructions and area metrics.
• Keep the work area clean by disposing of empty boxes and cardboard and keeping materials organized.
• Inform appropriate personnel of material shortages.
• Train others in all areas.
• Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area.
• Practice 5S.
