About The Position

The General Foreman provides strategic operational oversight for production operating facilities, with a moderate presence in multiple regions or a moderate degree of complexity. The role holds operating facilities accountable to standards for safety, quality, operational effectiveness, and financial performance. It is based in Fort Morgan, Colorado, and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., with long weekends as needed. Relocation will be provided.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of directly related work experience.

Nice To Haves

• One year of supervisory experience.
• One year of beef industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine operations of the assigned area and ensure direct reports follow policies and procedures related to employee, food and feed safety, and environmental compliance.
• Monitor production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements remain within specifications.
• Partner with production supervisors to meet customer specifications and timelines.
• Administer the production budget for a department, process, or shift; execute purchase orders and ensure timely invoice payment.
• Develop operational plans and monitor routine operations across production processes for multiple departments, processes, and shifts.
• Develop, supervise, and coach direct reports, including coaching them on company core values and guiding principles.
• Make personnel decisions regarding hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions for direct reports.
• Spend time completing the same tasks as employees on the team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
