About The Position

Ascendent Health Partners is seeking a Full-Time General Dentist for an established private dental practice in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This practice is entering a new phase of growth and is looking for a dentist who prioritizes human connection and patient well-being over transactions. The role offers meaningful mentorship, with the potential for equity partnership in the future without a traditional buy-in. The practice is supported by experienced teams, strong patient relationships, and the resources of Ascendent Health Partners, while allowing doctors significant clinical autonomy. The goal is to empower excellent doctors with excellent people, education, systems, and resources to provide exceptional care. Approximately 80% of patient needs should be addressed within the practice when clinically appropriate. Doctors are encouraged to expand their clinical capabilities and are expected to be comfortable with strong bread-and-butter dentistry while developing or possessing advanced proficiency in areas like molar endodontics, surgical extractions, implant dentistry, clear aligner therapy, or comprehensive care for children and families. Referral to specialists is available when necessary, but general dentists are not expected to provide airway treatment or Botox services. Doctors typically see 14-16 hygiene exams per day, alongside comprehensive restorative and advanced treatment, working with trained team members and dedicated assisting support. The role values effective diagnosis, communication, leadership, and delegation. There are no weekend schedules, and full-time doctors generally work 30-35 clinical hours per week over four or five days. An on-call rotation is part of the role to ensure patient access to care for urgent needs.
