General Cleaner - Auburn Hills
About The Position
The General Cleaner maintains the safety and cleanliness of the worksite, communicates with the client to provide the best service possible, and represents PBS’s culture to clients. The position follows the building supervisor’s directions and assigned schedule, and may provide temporary coverage or assistance on other jobs. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing floors, windows, and restroom areas; replenishing restroom supplies; reporting damage and maintenance needs; handling supplies and equipment; assisting with maintenance or minor repairs; and cleaning and storing tools and equipment after use.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on the needs of the company.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, and kneel for sustained periods.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Follow the directions of the building supervisor and the assigned work schedule.
- Relieve, assist, or temporarily fill in on other jobs assigned by the supervisor.
- Dust, sweep, and mop floors as necessary; wash windows and window sills as needed; scrub, strip, or wax floors as scheduled; and sweep exterior walkways.
- Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, hardware, tile, mirrors, partitions, and floors.
- Replace restroom supplies as needed.
- Report damage to the supervisor and report maintenance needs.
- Load and unload supplies and equipment.
- Assist with maintenance work or minor repairs as needed.
- Clean tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store them in their proper place.
- Maintain worksite safety and cleanliness, communicate with the client, and represent PBS’s culture to clients.
