About The Position

The General Cleaner, also referred to as a Cleaning Professional, maintains the safety and cleanliness of the worksite, communicates with the client to provide the best service possible, and represents the culture of PBS to clients. The employee reports to and follows the building supervisor’s directions and schedule, and may relieve, assist, or temporarily fill in on other jobs assigned by the supervisor. The role may require flexible hours based on company needs.

The position includes cleaning and sanitizing floors, windows, walkways, and restroom areas; replenishing restroom supplies; reporting damage and maintenance needs; loading and unloading supplies and equipment; assisting with maintenance or minor repairs; and cleaning and properly storing tools, supplies, and equipment after use. The physical demands include sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling, as well as regularly lifting up to 50 pounds. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to work flexible hours based on company needs.
• Ability to sustain periods of standing, sitting, walking, and kneeling.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Report to and follow the directions of the building supervisor.
• Follow the schedule and perform tasks listed on it.
• Relieve, assist, or temporarily fill in on other jobs assigned by the supervisor.
• Dust, sweep, and/or mop floors as necessary; wash windows and window sills as needed; scrub or strip and wax floors as scheduled; and sweep exterior walkways.
• Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, hardware, tile, mirrors, partitions, and floors.
• Replace restroom supplies as needed.
• Report damage to the supervisor and report maintenance needs.
• Load and unload supplies and equipment.
• Assist with maintenance work or minor repairs as needed.
• Clean tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store them in their proper place.
• Maintain worksite safety and cleanliness, communicate with the client to provide good service, and represent PBS to clients.
