About The Position

This position is for a General Assembler 1 in Covington, GA, for a 12-month contract on the first shift. The role involves using various equipment to move materials, parts, and products within a plant, office, or warehouse. Responsibilities include sorting and inspecting materials, maintaining quality records, and adhering to documentation practices. The job requires developing skills in basic tasks and procedures within a specific skill area, applying knowledge to complete routine tasks, and working within defined SOPs and quality guidelines under general to limited supervision. The work environment is a manufacturing setting with limited space, where employees work closely together. Some roles will focus on assembling kits for shipping, while others will involve moving pallets and assisting on the assembly line during downtime. A strict attendance policy is in effect, and candidates are expected to be professional and focused on work rather than socializing.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of experience in a warehouse/manufacturing/or quality position.
• Must be one continuous year on the same job as a minimum.
• Ability to read rulers.
• Must have good vision.
• Effective communication skills at a level co-workers and Team Lead/Supervisor can understand.
• Ability to read, write, interpret and comprehend documents written in English and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment.
• General computer skills.
• US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year warehouse experience or related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Uses a variety of equipment such as inspection and light equipment, handcarts, to move materials, parts, assemblies and scrap products or goods within a plant, office or warehouse.
• Sort and inspect materials.
• Maintain quality records.
• Maintain good documentation practices.
• Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques and procedures within one skill area / process / method.
• Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
• Works within clearly defined SOPs and / or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines.
• Moving pallets throughout the building.
• Working on the line putting kits into a bag that will be shipped out to customers.
