About The Position

Capital Electric is hiring for a Project Quotation Specialist to provide accurate, competitive, and timely project pricing for customers. The role calls for professional customer service, deadline management, effectiveness in a challenging environment, and a willingness to go the extra mile. The posting describes lighting and/or gear estimating experience as a plus. Capital Electric supplies electrical products and services to contractors and is part of the Sonepar group.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• One to two years of customer service experience; electrical or lighting industry experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Good, dependable mathematics skills.
• Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Lighting and/or gear estimating experience.
• Customer service experience in the electrical or lighting industry.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate architectural and electrical drawings.
• Read and review lighting specifications.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with project managers and outside sales representatives.
• Work with manufacturers and factory sales representatives to develop competitive, timely pricing.
• Determine costs and selling amounts to maintain appropriate margins.
• Follow up with contractors regarding pricing.
• Compile and analyze information from vendors.
• Ensure bids include all mandatory requirements.
• Identify and review purchase order terms and dating.
• Provide complete, accurate quotations within required time frames.
• Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen customer relationships.
• Stay current on new product information and emerging technologies.
