About The Position

The Garment Technician works onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon, reporting to the Site Services Supervisor and collaborating with Avantor Lab and Production Services professionals. The role supports customer laboratory and production operations by managing garment replenishment, collection, inspection, inventory tracking, shipping, and related customer needs. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., at an hourly rate of $18. The role may require travel to customer sites.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Enjoyment of active work.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED; preferred but not required.
• Six or more months of experience in material handling, inventory replenishment, and/or customer service; preferred but not required.
• Some verifiable work experience; preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams; preferred.
• Previous experience working in a GMP facility; desired.

Responsibilities

• Replenish garments at points of use and collect used garments.
• Inspect used garments for damage before shipment and inspect returned garments to verify reported damage.
• Collect usage data at points of use and record it in the tracking log.
• Receive inbound shipments from common carriers.
• Prepare shipping documentation and stage material for pickup.
• Maintain the customer database of hanger assignments.
• Inspect inventory and soil bins daily to prevent overflow.
• Review and approve invoices against packaging and shipping receipts.
• Order new garments and special sizes as needed.
• Map garment locations for training aids.
• Serve as the point person for garment issues or concerns.
• Travel to customer sites when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
