About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service role responsible for parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The attendant provides a positive, efficient, safe, and friendly parking experience, making a strong impression through interactions with guests and customers.

The position is full-time, with a schedule of flexible days from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Duties also include maintaining an organized operation, communicating professionally, providing requested garage information, and carrying out assigned cleaning tasks.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing; able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
• Able to smile during customer interactions.
• Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
• Maintain uniform standards while on the job premises.
• Ability to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual-transmission vehicle.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
• Ability to build relationships with customers and stay organized.
• Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

• Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
• Park customers’ vehicles safely and securely in designated spaces, minimizing the potential for accidents.
• Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
• Provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Maintain organization at the operation.
• Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through an enthusiastic approach.
• Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
• Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
• Provide information about garage hours, rates, or promotions upon request.
• Maintain a neatly groomed appearance.
• Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
• Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
• Fill out damage or accident supports.
