About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service role responsible for parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The role aims to provide a positive, efficient, safe, and friendly parking experience while making a strong impression through each customer interaction. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
Proficient in English, verbally and in writing; able to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
Able to smile during customer interactions.
Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
Ability to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual-transmission vehicle.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
Clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.
Ability to create relationships with customers and stay organized.

Responsibilities

Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
Park customers’ vehicles in designated spaces safely and securely to minimize the potential for accidents.
Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
Provide an exceptional guest experience.
Maintain organization at the operation.
Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through an enthusiastic approach.
Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
Provide information about the garage, including hours, rates, or promotions, when requested.
Maintain a neatly groomed appearance and meet uniform standards while on the job premises.
Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
Fill out damage or accident reports.
