About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service position responsible for parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The role focuses on providing a positive, efficient, safe, and secure parking experience and making a strong impression through friendly, positive interactions with guests and customers. The attendant also provides information about garage hours, rates, and promotions upon request, and helps maintain an organized operation.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing; able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Able to smile during customer interactions.
Upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
Maintain uniform standards while on the job premises.
Ability to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
Ability to stand for long periods.
Ability to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test on a manual transmission vehicle.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
Ability to create relationships with customers.
Be organized.
Have a clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

Keep the safety of self and others in mind at all times.
Park customers’ vehicles in designated spaces safely and securely, minimizing the potential for accidents.
Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
Provide an exceptional guest experience.
Maintain organization at the operation.
Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through an enthusiastic attitude.
Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language choices.
Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
Provide information about the garage, including hours of operation, rates, and special promotions, upon request.
Maintain a neatly groomed appearance.
Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
Fill out damage or accident reports.
