About The Position

The Garage Valet Attendant is a customer service position responsible for parking and retrieving customers’ vehicles. The role aims to provide a positive, efficient, safe, and secure parking experience and make a strong impression through friendly, professional interactions with guests and customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. This is an entry-level position requiring proficient spoken and written English.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to smile during customer interactions.
Have an upbeat personality, willingness to go the extra mile, and strong work ethic.
Maintain uniform standards while on the job premises.
Be able to read, write, and verbally communicate in English.
Be able to move quickly and organize cars efficiently.
Be able to stand for long periods.
Be able to safely operate vehicles and pass a driving test in a manual-transmission vehicle.
Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Pass a criminal background check and RMV check.
Be able to build relationships with customers and stay organized.
Have a clean driving record deemed insurable by VPNE’s current insurance provider.

Responsibilities

Keep the safety of yourself and others in mind at all times.
Park customers’ vehicles in designated spots safely and securely, minimizing the potential for accidents.
Track keys and vehicles throughout the garage.
Provide an exceptional guest experience.
Maintain organization at the operation.
Create a positive environment for customers and teammates through an enthusiastic approach.
Use professional communication and VPNE-approved language.
Help facilitate the transition at the end of the shift.
Provide information about the garage, including hours, rates, and special promotions, upon request.
Maintain a neatly groomed appearance.
Perform cleaning duties as assigned.
Adhere to the VPNE attendance policy.
Follow safety protocols and procedures, wear appropriate safety gear, and promptly report hazards or incidents.
Complete damage or accident support forms.
