About The Position

Les Viandes Intercité, a subsidiary company of Gordon Food Service, is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to support their energetic team in Anjou. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing disability files, employee relations, training, legal compliance, and wellness initiatives within a food distribution company. They promote a balanced work environment and collaborate closely with operational teams.

Requirements

• Hold a bachelor's degree in industrial relations / human resources or a related field
• Have 3+ years of experience in human resources in a generalist role
• Knowledge of various labor laws such as: LNT (Act respecting labor standards), LSST (Act respecting occupational health and safety), LATMP (Act respecting industrial accidents and occupational diseases)
• Bilingual in written and spoken communication (French/English)
• Motivated to coach and influence experienced managers
• Stand out for your organizational skills and priority management
• Enjoy working in a dynamic and collaborative environment
• Demonstrate empathy, autonomy, and flexibility in working methods

Responsibilities

• Provide an advisory role to managers in their daily activities
• Plan, develop, and follow up on training and onboarding sessions for operations employees
• Answer various questions from staff
• Participate in different HR activities such as: performance management, occupational health and safety, compensation, disability files, corporate events, etc.
• Offer support regarding problem resolution and the application of human resources management policies and procedures, particularly regarding the interpretation of the labor agreement and various labor legislations
• Participate and support the staffing process as needed
• Perform any other tasks related to the position
