About The Position

Loan Center, doing business as Westlake Direct, is an affiliate of Westlake Financial Services. The Funding Coordinator oversees and develops funding activities and helps ensure the seamless completion of the loan funding process. The role works closely with Loan Officers, Credit Analysts, and Management to oversee daily funding activities. It is described as challenging and dynamic, with opportunity for advancement.

Requirements

• Automotive and finance experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of web applications.
• Strong understanding of loan documentation and underwriting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Working knowledge of online meeting tools such as Teams and Zoom.
• Comfort and skill working with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong computer skills and adaptability to new technology.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in loan funding or a related field.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Previous loan funding or underwriting experience.
• Knowledge or experience using DealerTrack, RouteOne, or CUDL.

Responsibilities

• Review loan documentation for accuracy and compliance with Westlake Direct’s credit policy.
• Verify that all required documents and information are complete.
• Work with Loan Officers and Credit Analysts to resolve discrepancies or missing information.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the funding process.
• Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of funds to lienholders and dealers.
• Conduct quality control checks on loan files and identify and correct errors or discrepancies.
• Promptly and efficiently address issues that arise during the funding process.
• Implement improvements to the funding workflow.
