About The Position

Join Xplor Technologies’ Embedded Payments team as a Full Stack Software Engineer, helping build and scale a cloud-native payment orchestration platform that processes significant transaction volume across multiple Xplor brands. The role involves owning features across the stack, from API contracts and data models through backend services and user interfaces, while collaborating with backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software. The position reports to the Software Engineering Manager and is fully remote for U.S.-based candidates, excluding Hawaii and Alaska; candidates in the Kansas City region are preferred. The team’s technology stack includes React (Vite), MUI, and JavaScript on the frontend; Jest, ESLint, Prettier, Storybook, Playwright, and K6 for testing; Node.js and AWS services including ECS, RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, SQS, and EventBridge on the backend; Bitbucket Pipelines and Terraform for DevOps; and Worldpay, Stripe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay for payments. Xplor seeks curious, empathetic people who are motivated by meaningful work, comfortable with ambiguity, and effective in an evolving environment. The role requires independent work within an agile group and comfort working on a fully remote team. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the company does not sponsor visas or offer contractor arrangements or Employer of Record engagements for this position. Candidates are asked to include the word “moonshot” at the top of their message to the Hiring Manager. The average base salary range is $95,000 to $105,000. Benefits include paid parental leave, three additional volunteer days, diversity and inclusion initiatives, free mental health support, and flexible working arrangements. Successful candidates will be asked to complete background and identity verification checks; video interviews may be recorded during the hiring process.
