About The Position

Read AI is seeking a Fullstack Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable web and desktop applications across frontend and backend systems. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user experiences and backend services for the company’s AI-driven platform. The role includes developing interfaces and APIs, contributing to technical and delivery processes, and taking ownership of projects independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

At least 3 years of software engineering experience with proven fullstack development skills.
Proficiency with modern frontend technologies, such as React, TypeScript, and Material UI.
Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and low-level programming concepts.
Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Java, Python, AWS, microservices, and SQL or NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

Experience with AI-driven products or interest in AI/ML applications.
Prior work in a startup or high-growth environment.
Familiarity with Figma or similar design tools.
Experience with Rust and Tauri for desktop application development.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain web applications across the frontend and backend technology stack.
Build and optimize user interfaces using modern frameworks such as React and TypeScript.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and backend systems using Node.js, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and systems design sessions.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
Contribute to Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines.
Own projects and deliver solutions independently and as part of a team.
