About The Position

This is a remote, 1099 independent contractor position for a freight professional who can handle both shipper sales and carrier operations. Blue Fox Trading, a freight brokerage consultancy and affiliate of HYRE HARPER Co., provides agents with enterprise-grade tools including TMS, CRM, load boards, and AI tools at no cost. The role offers dual commission potential on the same load, with agents earning commission on both closing shippers and covering trucks independently. Agents can start in one role and add the other with company approval. The company emphasizes a 360-degree logistics vision, integrating customs brokerage with domestic freight execution.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Freight Broker Agent, Carrier Sales Rep, or Dispatcher
Familiarity with DAT, Truckstop, or similar load boards
Microsoft 365 and Slack proficiency
Hands-on use of Claude AI, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot - required
Self-directed in a commission-only remote environment
Strong communication and negotiation skills
FMCSA compliance and carrier vetting knowledge
Established book of business with active shippers - non-negotiable (for Freight Broker Agent Track)
Knowledge of TL, LTL, Partial, and Spot Market freight (for Freight Broker Agent Track)
HubSpot CRM or equivalent (for Freight Broker Agent Track)
Experience in carrier sales, dispatching, or freight brokerage ops (for Carrier Ops Coordinator Track)
Ability to source trucks, vet carriers, manage full shipment lifecycle (for Carrier Ops Coordinator Track)
Your own business phone line (mobile or VoIP)
Reliable high-speed internet
Computer capable of running web-based TMS, CRM, and Microsoft 365
Dedicated home office for confidential communications

Nice To Haves

AscendTMS and/or McLeod Software experience (preferred for Freight Broker Agent Track)
TAI for OTR LTL quoting (preferred for Freight Broker Agent Track)
Apollo and/or Clay for prospecting
Experience managing both sides of a load
Interest in international freight, customs, or import/export

Responsibilities

Prospect and onboard shipper accounts; manage existing relationships
Quote TL, LTL, Partial, and Spot Market freight via DAT, Truckstop, TAI
Book and manage shipments in AscendTMS and McLeod; track activity in HubSpot CRM
Source and book carriers via DAT, Truckstop, and direct outreach
Negotiate carrier rates; verify FMCSA credentials and insurance
Track shipments pickup through delivery; manage check calls, PODs, exceptions
