About The Position

The Frozen Food Manager is a primary contact for customers, providing friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This role involves training, supervising, scheduling, and assigning duties to Frozen Food Clerks. The manager is responsible for maintaining appropriate stock and inventory in the frozen food area, minimizing out-of-stock product, and managing product rotation and removal of expired stock. Responsibilities also include changing signs and prices, writing frozen food orders, checking orders for completeness, stocking frozen food cases, cleaning the department area, and restocking items in freezers for other departments. The role may also involve cashier duties during peak times.

Requirements

Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service as currently defined by the employer within the scope of the position and within company policy.
Train, schedule, and supervise Frozen Food workers to ensure optimum staffing patterns for the department.
Speak with customers to resolve problems involving sales, satisfaction with service, or product and other problems related to the operation of the Frozen Food area.
Perform daily inventory and order necessary supplies to maintain adequate inventory.
Replace stock in coolers, freezers, and end displays.
Make sure that all expired items are removed from the shelves daily.
Unload boards and stack on pallets or six wheel carts.
Push pallet jacks or six wheeled carts through store to display areas.
Maintain cleanliness of display areas and freezers.
Other duties as assigned.
