About The Position

The Front Store Associate provides customer-focused service in a retail setting, working independently and as part of a team to support customers’ needs. The role contributes to CVS Health’s efforts to make health care more connected, convenient, and compassionate.

Associates greet and assist customers, operate the register, maintain merchandise and inventory, support store opening and closing activities, and help keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. The position may also include assisting pharmacy personnel and working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development. Associates promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours. The required schedule is 4 p.m. to midnight every day of the week, with every weekend required; shift times are not flexible. The stated pay range is $15.00–$18.00 per hour. Eligible benefits and programs may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits, depending on hours worked and eligibility. Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.
• Ability to meet the stated schedule requirements: 4 p.m. to midnight daily, with every weekend required; shift times are not flexible.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by ensuring they are stocked and operational and by staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
