About The Position

As a Front-End Team Member, you create a smooth and positive checkout experience by processing purchases accurately, bagging groceries, and assisting customers with questions in a friendly and efficient manner. You help keep the front end organized, clean, and operating consistently by rotating among checkout transactions, cart collection, supply restocking, and checkout-area upkeep. The work involves a steady customer flow and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working indoors and outdoors as needed. A flexible schedule may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Company cashier or front-end training is completed upon hire.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old, or at least 18 depending on local or state requirements.
• Complete company cashier or front-end training upon hire.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working indoors and outdoors as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, clear customer assistance during checkout.
• Process purchases accurately, including cash, card, and digital payments.
• Scan items, verify pricing and produce codes, and complete orders accurately.
• Handle cash transactions, count change, and balance registers.
• Bag groceries and assist with cart retrieval and stocking supplies.
• Keep the checkout area organized, clean, and operating consistently.
• Recognize and address pricing, transaction, or customer service questions.
• Follow company policies, register procedures, and checkout processes.
• Adapt to changing tasks and customer flow throughout the shift.
