About The Position

The Front End Clerk provides friendly customer service to customers, team members, and outside vendors. The role involves cashiering, bagging groceries, carrying groceries to customers’ vehicles, cleaning, merchandising, stocking, rotating products, and facing shelves. Clerks work as part of a team, follow department procedures and company policies, and maintain a neat appearance in accordance with the dress code.

Requirements

• Provide a friendly attitude to customers and team members.

• Count change and balance a cash drawer.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service to customers and teammates.
• Work cooperatively as part of a team.
• Operate the register, greet customers, and accurately count back change.
• Bag groceries with similar items grouped together.
• Carry groceries to customers’ vehicles.
• Rotate perishable merchandise and remove out-of-date products as needed.
• Greet customers entering the store and remain observant.
• Maintain a neat appearance according to the company dress code.
• Keep store shelves stocked according to provided information.
• Assist with building store displays.
• Observe established department policies and procedures.
• Keep the work area, check stand, and front end clean.
• Learn, follow, and model safety operating procedures.
• Abide by company policies in the employee handbook.
