About The Position

The Wags Club is an established cage-free dog daycare and boarding facility serving Santa Monica and West Los Angeles. We're looking for an experienced customer-service professional to become an important part of our front desk team. Our front desk is the communication center of our business. We're looking for someone who takes pride in knowing the clients, knowing their dogs, knowing what's happening in the facility — and making sure things get done.

Requirements

Warm and genuinely good with people
Organized and exceptionally attentive to details
Comfortable juggling several things at once
Calm and professional during a rush
Resourceful when solving everyday problems
Self-motivated enough to notice what needs doing and do it
Dependable and punctual
Comfortable around dogs of every breed and size
Previous front desk, reception, hospitality, veterinary, medical office, spa, gym, or similar customer-service experience is strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

Pet-care experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Welcome clients and check dogs in and out accurately
Manage busy morning drop-offs and evening pickups
Answer phones and handle client questions
Process payments and maintain accurate transactions
Manage reservations and client information
Explain our daycare, boarding, and grooming services to prospective clients
Communicate feeding instructions, medications, special requests, and important notes to our pet-care team
Catch details or discrepancies before they become problems
Keep the front desk and lobby organized and professional
Assist with dog photos and occasional social media updates
