About The Position

Provide in-person French interpretation for local clients in the Omaha, Nebraska area, including medical facilities. This is an independent contractor position with flexible, as-needed hours; hours are not guaranteed and depend on interpreter availability, languages spoken, and client needs. Applicants must have some availability Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., when services are typically needed. Candidates must provide proof of vaccination or exemption documentation before the interview. Applicants should include all languages spoken on their resume.

Requirements

• Fully bilingual.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Must have transportation to attend local in-person appointments.
• Technical skills to learn and use an online portal.
• Must have access to a printer.
• Background checks and drug screens are required.
• Some availability Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
