About The Position

The Dairy & Freezer Clerk maintains the dairy and freezer sections by ensuring proper stocking, product rotation, and product integrity. The role supports merchandising, inventory management, and food safety compliance while providing excellent service to Members. It helps keep the department organized and efficient and contributes to the success of the perishables team.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and email.

Responsibilities

• Stock dairy and freezer products according to company planograms.
• Monitor temperature control and replenish low or missing items to support cold chain integrity, freshness, and availability.
• Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Inspect products for expiration dates and condition, removing damaged or outdated items.
• Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including routine cleaning of coolers, freezers, equipment, and shelving.
• Monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment to maintain a full and shoppable department.
• Verify that products are correctly signed and priced.
• Assist with seasonal transitions and merchandising plans.
• Perform dairy and freezer operations in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties and provide support across departments as assigned.
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Follow Member service standards, engage Members helpfully, address questions or concerns, and escalate unresolved issues to a supervisor when necessary.
• Work collaboratively, demonstrate inclusive and ethical behavior, and support a positive team environment.
• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently, use supplies responsibly, and support club goals and performance.
